Gulf Conformity Mark (G mark)
The Gulf Conformity Mark (G Mark) is a conformity certificate owned and issued by the Gulf Standardization Organization (GSO) to the children toys and Low Voltage Electrical products prepared for exporting to the Gulf Coordinating Council (GCC) countries to ensure their safety and compliance to the technical regulation.
The GCC Standardization Organization (GSO) was established as Regional Standardization Organization by the resolution of the GCC Supreme Council with the membership of The State of the United Arab Emirates, The Kingdom of Bahrain, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, The Sultanate of Oman, The State of Qatar, and The State of Kuwait. The main aim is to enhance cooperation among its members in the field of standardization to unify and maintain product safety and quality standards.
G Mark regulatory requirement
The G Mark is applied under the Low Voltage Technical Regulation, BD142004-01. There are two lists of regulated products subject to the Gulf Conformity Mark that define the obligations of the importer or manufacturer for each.
List 1 products:

List 2 products:
Notified Body:
For the products within the scope of List 2 importer or manufacturer must choose a Notified Body (NB), to carry out inspection and technical test of the product and to verify its compliance with the relevant technical regulations and that the facility and has a production-quality system then issue the evaluation report.
Conformity Tracking System (GCTS):
List 2 products are also required to be registered in the product tracking system of GSO and label the “Gulf Conformity Tracking Symbol” (GCTS) on the product and its packaging.
