The Saudi Customs Authority announced on Monday the launch of a new service, through which importers will be allowed to file for postponing the payment of customs tariffs and tax for 30 days as of the date of clearing.

The new service came into effect starting today, March 1, 2021, the authority noted.

It added that the postponement will be either through the provision of a bank guarantee or a promissory note.
