The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization begins implementing the new requirements of the technical regulations for small solar PV systems.

The amendments include:

• Article No. (6): the conformity assessment procedures were amended to:

The supplier responsible for placing the solar energy-generating systems and their components in the markets of the Kingdom must obtain a corresponding national certificate of conformity in accordance with the regulations for issuing corresponding national conformity certificates in accordance with the conformity assessment tests and certification program for electro-technical devices and components (IECEE).

 

• Annex No. (1): the list of the standard of the generating solar energy systems and products their components was amended to include:
• A list of the relevant standards
• A list of the Products and HS-codes according to the Saber electronic platform.
• Deleting Appendix No. (2) in addition to what is required by the regulation to change the numbering of Appendixes and pages.
