Water Efficiency Label
The Water Efficiency Label is owned and applied by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) to the sanitary products and water flow control equipment prepared for sale in the Saudi market, affixing the label on a product means that the product was tested and proved to be conformed to the standards and complied with the water consumption technical regulations.
It is mandatory for the imported products within the Water Efficiency Label scope to obtain the SASO Certificate of Conformity, and then the importer can complete the clearance products at customs ports.

Water Efficiency Label registration process
- The products should be subjected to a testing process through a laboratory accredited from SASO.
- If the product is proved to be conformed the test report is issued.
- The client must apply for an online request to obtain the label license.
- The Water Efficiency license is issued and the label can be affixed on the product.
- The label is issued per model.
- The label is valid for one year from the issuance date.
Water Efficiency Label renewal
The Water Efficiency Label license can be renewed for the same product a month before its expiration date, the client must apply for renewal on SLS system, and when it is proved the product is still meeting the requirements of the label, the license is renewed.
