Saudi Quality Mark (SQM)
The Saudi Quality Mark (SQM) is a conformity mark owned and granted by the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) to the products proved to comply with the Saudi standards and the relative technical regulations requirements.
The Saudi Quality Mark is issued when the facility is proven to have an effective quality control and assurance system while manufacturing the products prepared for sale in the Saudi market.
The Saudi Quality Mark is a part of SASO efforts to raise the levels of safety and quality of products traded in the kingdom, in addition to developing the manufacturing methods and management systems in the facilities that target the Saudi market.
Saudi Quality Mark Accreditation
The International Accreditation Certificate was granted to the Saudi Quality Mark Department according to the requirements of ISO IEC 17065 2012 from the GCC Accreditation Center, this accreditation helps in supporting the Saudi branded industries and products and expanding their horizons in the target markets through facilitating the recognition of the Quality Mark internationally.

Saudi Quality Mark issuance and labeling conditions
- It is the manufacturers’ or distributors’ responsibility to request obtaining the Saudi Quality Mark if they intend to export and place them in the kingdom market.
- Requesting the SQM requires registering the facility first, and then applying for the Mark via jeem1 portal.
- SASO after receiving the application transfers the request to one of its approved bodies to carry out the evaluation process and provide their recommendations for granting the SQM License decision.
- When The SQM is granted it is valid for three years from the issuance date.
- Once the Saudi Quality mark is granted it is allowed to label it on the covered product as long as it is manufactured and distributed within the period of the Mark license.
